The Patricia Henley Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization Federal Tax ID #68-0454355.
Currently, we are faced with an important decision. We are nearing the end of a five year probation period for our 501(c)3 public non-profit status. We need to be 33% supported by public funding and have reached 31%, if we do not receive $6,500 before December 31, 2011 (that is THIS year) our application will be denied.
If we are not able to gain this non-profit status, we are not able to raise funds through grants and fundraising in the future and thus we limit the life of the sbTNN program. As you can imagine, losing this program would not only be sad, but it would take away opportunities for the youth in this community. It has provided countless growth experiences, skill-building, and important connections in the community for the youth. These youth are the future of Santa Barbara.
